Donald Trump’s Republican legal critics would do well to take account of some recent history. 

The last thing this country needs is any more bottled-piety lectures on the rule of law from Special Counsel Jack Smith, Joe Biden, and the array of admitted lying former high government officials. 

This is the most egregious deep state election interference to date, and it is a sign of the government class’ hatred and distrust of the American people. 

If the country was in good health politically it would be fine to have a heated primary. We are not.

If the law is enforced selectively, it ceases to be law and becomes a hammer. 

No banana republic is complete without influential propagandists doing the regime’s dirty work and there are plenty of them surrounding the Trump indictment.

Joe Biden’s Department of Justice is as corrupt as Hunter Biden’s laptop. Few people of either party trust it, nor should they. 

The ongoing investigation into January 6, however, poses far greater legal jeopardy for Trump.
